Drive Me Dark
By Unsprouted Bean
In the global underworld, no one knew her real name. They only called her Ghost Wheel—a phantom behind the steering wheel, a getaway driver who could pull anyone out from the depths of hell in a single breath. She lived by a strict, steel-clad code: Never wait longer than three minutes, never owe a debt, and never let anyone hold her leash. Until a rain-drenched night in Chicago. One final heist intended to buy her a lifetime of freedom. One misplaced touch on a biometrically encrypted briefcase. And one fatal mistake that inadvertently triggered the attention of the most dangerous violence machine in the criminal underworld—The Foundry. The man at the apex of that empire was Roman Ashcombe. The global military cartel knew him as the Architect of Steel—a man controlling forty percent of the world's experimental weaponry and global satellite surveillance. He didn't negotiate, he didn't recall; he eliminated. To Roman, Ghost Wheel wasn't a threat; she was a proud, wild predator that needed her pride broken, chained, and reforged into a lethal instrument under his command. "Did you really think a few thousand miles and a fake identity could hide you from me, Callahan?" A blood pact signed in the shadows. Her freedom stripped away, her loved one held as leverage, and a bullet-ridden path across Europe waiting ahead. She drives to escape hell, unaware that the man himself is the very hell accompanying her. At 200 mph, amidst shattering gunfire and the ruthless schemes of cold-blooded oligarchs—who will truly hold the wheel, and who will be dragged into the other's darkness? Tagline: "Freedom is a privilege, not a default right. And in this world, I am the only one who grants you permission to breathe, Vega."
