The Glass Snow Kingdom

By Flying Piglet

At the far north of the world lies a place known as the Shimmering Snowlands—a realm of eternally flowing glass snow and memory-eroding fog. Legend has it that anyone who crosses its threshold leaves their past behind, turning into a soulless ice statue at the feet of the Glass Castle. When her older sister, Elodie, vanishes without a trace, Elowen sets off alone into the frozen valley. Armed with only a brass music box and the warm flame of Emotion Magic flowing through her veins, she is determined to bring her only remaining family member home. Yet at the end of her journey, she finds not an ordinary fortress, but a giant, doorless maze of mirrors ruled by Casimir—the supreme lord of this glass world. Arrogant, frigid, lonely, and entirely devoid of a physical form in reality, he exists solely as a reflection upon the glass panes. To find clues about her sister, Elowen is forced into a cruel bargain: Every night when the clock strikes midnight, she must bring her wild flame magic to the main hall to warm his castle. One longs for warmth yet remains unable to touch. The other is ready to burn through the frost to reclaim lost memories. Amid countless mirrors reflecting lies and dark secrets, will Elowen's flame melt the crystal heart of the cursed lord, or will she become the next ornament trapped forever in the Kingdom of Glass and Snow?
